WTF?

Sure, this baby seems cute.  Until you realize that
his viking hat is not historically accurate.  Vikings
didn't even HAVE horns on their hats.  Try again, baby.
The other day I was made aware of the following Wikipedia page: List of common misconceptions and it blew my mind.  Apparently, you can't really see the Great Wall of China from space, you do use more the 10% of your brain, Marie Antoinette did not actually say, "let them eat cake" upon learning that her subjects were starving without bread and Napoleon wasn't even that short!  That's right folks, Napoleon himself didn't even have a Napoleonic complex.  Even more surprisingly, Pilgrims didn't really wear buckles (no word on how they kept their pants -- or hats -- up) and people didn't actually think that Christopher Columbus was going to sail off the end of the flat earth, they just (correctly) thought that he was stupidly underestimating the distance to India. And guess what?  Independence day should actually be on August 2nd, not July 4th.  Pack up your fireworks, kids.

Take a look at the list for yourself, but prepare to forget everything you ever thought you knew about the world.

Oh, and by the way Wikipedia, if humans and dinosaurs didn't live at the same time, who answered the Flintstone's phone?
