Dr. King's legacy

It was the great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, who said, "Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable...  Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering and struggle; the tireless exertions and the passionate concern of dedicated individuals."

Teachers who inspire me -- thank you.
As we remember him today, let us not forget those brave individuals who have continued Dr. King's movement for the past 43 years.  The teachers, politicians, academics, community organizers, parents and citizens who tirelessly devote their lives to justice and equality.  In millions of unnoticed ways they fight to keep Dr. King's dream alive.  It is because their quiet heroism that we continue to move toward a more just society.

So, today, let us celebrate Dr. King's life and message by thanking those who honor it every day.
