I heart acapella

I love acapella.  There is not enough acapella after college.  Luckily, Perez Hilton just posted this video of a cover by NYC-based, post-college co-ed acapella group The Red States.  It's an e-mazing cover of Adele's Rolling in the Deep.  Even for a song that's been covered to death, this one is worth listening too. As an added bonus, the lead solo and arrangement are done but none other than Meg Tirrell, star of the Wellesley College Tupelos class of 2006!  I've been a big fan of Meg since 2002 and have asked her repeatedly to release a solo album, but I guess this is the next best thing.  Congrats Meg and the rest of The Red States on your new-found fame!  (Oh, and the video is a little shaky because the person holding the camera is also doing the vocal percussion.  No big deal.)

  1. Awesome! Thanks for sharing this! I'm rapidly becoming an acapella junkie. I think you're to blame. ;) And Glee.
